Arica day 1 and 2

What a delighful town was waiting for us afetr a looong journey of thr night bus. Music in thr streets, lovely market and food...warm and with a fresh breeze at it is on the coast. Palm streets growing everywhere, close to Peru...the pictures will tell you more. Tomorrow, pickign up the car at the airport to drive to the Altiplano, high Andes. So went to chemists to ask for some adives at we will be reaching altitudes of 4950mt and some are trying to scare you while others are being very pragmatic and sensible so we ,ll only buy paracetamol  and chewingums and drinks liters of water with coca leaves ...jammie. Very challenging few days ahead with probably no wifi signals...
